What is myPacia?

A calm home for everything a long-term condition asks you to keep track of — symptoms, medications, appointments, documents, expenses, and the patterns between them. You log what you want, when you want; myPacia keeps the record and hands it back as a timeline, a set of patterns, and a report you can take to a doctor. That’s the whole product. There’s no program to follow and no schedule to keep.

Do I need a specific diagnosis to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. myPacia doesn’t ask you to pick from a list of approved conditions, and it doesn’t behave differently depending on what you have. It was built for life with long-term conditions — the kind where the details pile up over months and years — but if you’re tracking something undiagnosed, or a recovery, or simply want a record of how you’ve been, it works exactly the same way. Eleven tracking categories, all optional, and you choose which ones you even see.

Is myPacia a medical device? Does it give medical advice?

Accepted Answer

No, and it never will. myPacia is a personal health organizer — it holds what you record and shows you patterns in it. It does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not tell you what to do. Even the insights are careful about this: they say a pattern “often appears with” something, never that it was “caused by” it. What you do with any of it is a conversation for you and your clinician.

Do I have to log every day?

Accepted Answer

No. Every one of the eleven tracking categories is optional, every single day. Miss a day, miss a week, come back after a flare — nothing is lost and nothing scolds you. The streak counts the days you showed up; it doesn’t punish the days you couldn’t.

Who can see my health data?

Accepted Answer

You — and only the people you decide to let in. Caregiver access is invite-only, limited to the areas you choose, and revocable at any moment. Emergency-card links exist only if you create one, can be locked with a password, and can be switched off. We don’t read your record; the one exception is a support conversation you start, where you’ve asked us to look at something.

Do you sell my data, or show ads?

Accepted Answer

No, to both, permanently. Your entries are never sold to advertisers, data brokers, insurers, or pharmaceutical companies — not raw, not aggregated, not “anonymised”. There are no ads in the product. Subscriptions are meant to be the only way myPacia ever makes money, which is precisely why your health record never has to be.

Is my data encrypted?

In transit, yes — every connection is HTTPS. Your password is never stored as text, only as a bcrypt hash, and sessions use short-lived tokens with single-use refresh tokens, so a stolen token gets the whole session family revoked rather than quietly reused. Here’s the part most apps leave out: the database itself is not yet encrypted at rest. We’d rather tell you that than imply otherwise, and this answer changes the day it does.

Do you run AI over my health data?

There is no AI company anywhere near your record. Nothing you write is sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other model provider — the patterns myPacia finds are calculated on our own servers, from your own entries, using ordinary statistics. Every pattern tells you how many days of data sit behind it, so you can judge for yourself whether it means anything yet.

Can I get my data out — or delete all of it?

Both, yourself, without asking anyone. Export works on every plan and gives you your record as CSV files you keep — it is never held behind an upgrade. Deleting your account is a control in Settings, not an email you have to write; your data is removed from our systems after a short grace window, in case you change your mind a day later.

What does it cost right now?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. myPacia is in closed beta, there is no payment anywhere in the product, and you are never asked for a card. When paid plans do arrive, an essential free tier stays free — daily tracking, your timeline, your emergency card, and your data exports — and nothing you’ve already recorded gets locked away behind the change.

Why is it invite-only, and how do I join?

Signups are open — you can create an account right now. It’s free while we’re in beta, there’s no card involved, and everything you set up on day one can be changed later.

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

Accepted Answer

Not in the app stores yet — native iOS and Android apps are being built, and your account will carry straight over when they land. In the meantime myPacia runs in any browser, on any device, and you can install it to your home screen from the browser menu: it opens full-screen and behaves like an app, no store required. One honest caveat — installed or not, it needs a connection. Your record lives on our servers, not on your phone, so offline you’ll get a friendly offline screen rather than your data.

What do I actually bring to a doctor’s appointment?

A pre-visit report — one click, one PDF. It compiles what you’ve logged into something a clinician can read in about a minute: your symptom timeline, how consistently you’ve taken your medications, and your vitals set against their normal reference ranges. Nothing is invented and nothing is interpreted for them; it’s your own entries, arranged so that a ten-minute appointment isn’t spent reconstructing three months from memory.

What happens to my data when the beta ends?

Accepted Answer

It stays where it is, and it stays yours. Leaving beta changes how plans and payment work — it is not a reset. Accounts, entries, and history carry over. If a paid tier eventually covers something you use today, you’ll hear about it before it happens rather than after, and your export button works either way. Nobody should build up a year of records inside something that might take them away.
